I swear my son has had it a million times and only gets worse with out antibiotics....so that is what we get when he gets it. I guess it is bacterial everytime he gets it that is what I have always been told pink eye is.

The doctor always gives antibotics for that, simply because it is just another costly test to see what kind you have. It is usually a broad spectrum antibiotic and generally inexpensive and generic. Also, they give eye drops, so who is to KNOW which one is really working. My point is, go to the doctor and stop the suffering.

Honestly folks I think it must have been just beacterial as it has cleared up on its own... The first few days it was very painful but after hot compresses and making sure to keep my hands and face clean it has gona away... Thanks for all the help and advice folks .. You all rock ...

bacterial would need antibiotics.....you mean must of been viral or allergy because it went away....that is great I am glad for you
