Down in Oz its so hot (summer here) that its got us worrying about the chook's lives

Ducks are alright, they just live in their pond

Hoping for just a nice, decent day where its not too hot (not used to all there hot days in a row)... like decent enough to go outside and go boating, fishing, snorkling

I made it rain in the pen the other day with the hose, my scovie drake LOVED it - was soooo funny

Well I've just had an email from the nice guy who is looking after my duckies while I'm away in ... California...
It's going to snow a whole lot more back home and it has lashed it down with rain since we got here! Sigh...and all I brought were sun dresses lol!
My little duckies are doin ok at their mum and dad's house but dad has it in a little for Doogie. He sort of singled Doog out as a trouble maker (she is lol). And then also when Doog first met her dad again, they didn't recognise each other and she went for him. Brave little Doog, I was actually quite proud but the smart thing to do woulda been what Mr. Snoogles and Rory did which was KEEP THEIR HEADS DOWN!
I swear I haven't stopped thinkin of them since I got here. I'm thinkin, look at this rain, my ducks would love this rain!
Goatwalker thank you for all your lovely pics of your duckies, it's helpin me get my duckie fix! You just have the best garden ever for them!

Feeling terrible that I wasn't very sympathetic to those in California earlier - sounds like you all are in for a rough time down there with the rain and wind. Of course I normally am just jealous of your gorgeous sunshine.
