Topper is the star of the farm. If I could teach him to open gates, my work load would be cut even more.

Jute is the self appointed guardian of any bottle babies.

Ash is learning how to herd like his big brother.

I can not imagine life on a working farm with out my Border Collies

"Rose" is our border collie mix. She is 1/2 Husky, and the other half is German Shephard and Border Collie. Even though it's only 1/4, she ACTS like she'll fully BC. You CAN'T wear her out, she startles easily, she can corner with any rabbit she chases, and often kills and eats. She herds but doesn't kill, the chickens. She grabs the back leg of her "sister," the "Pyg"--that's the other dog in those pictures, AND the horses, when she's not trying to stop them by grabbing their tails and hang on...

SOUNDS PRETTY BORDER COLLIE TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I changed my mind--here's a close-up of BOTH dogs--

I have 3 borders...Jett, Dune and Copy. Dune comes from strong herding lines but can't herd worth a hoot. lol Jake is either a border collie or an aussie with a tail...he has the intense border collie stare but I think its just the color of his eyes (light green) that makes him look intense. Love my borders....
