Any experience with Golden Comets?

I wanted a few good layers to mix in with my flock -- and since I already have a rooster, I wanted to get some sex-linked chicks to make sure I won't get another one -- so I got three GCs from the feed store two weeks ago.

My worry is that now, they're feathering out awfully white! Wouldn't that mean rooster??

As soon as I saw them, I thought their combs were too prominent for hens, but what do I know?

I'll post pics tomorrow, but I'm wondering if anyone has had any GCs and how they feather out.

It will depend on the strain of golden sexlink you have, but a all white body with yellow patches would be a roo if my memmory serves me right. However, the pullets to grow out white primary feathers and then they start growing out a bit more red or buff, and they do turn golden later on. If you got sexlinks from the pullet bin, they should be girls.
