You would get yourself into a whole bunch of trouble doing that around here..... Although I think there should be a designated snagging season on certain stretches of some Rivers. So many fish just go to waste dieing in the banks....I wouldn't do it.... Because I don't keep running Salmon anyways......I only keep a few from the lakes every year.... Mostly coho.
But if those fish could be caught and used by someone instead of rooting away... All the better.
Just would want it done where the chances of you snagging the wrong species is minimal.
