Any Gamers Here?

Got the Day One edition of the Sonic X Shadow Generations not even a week after the release. I've already clocked in over 20 hours on it. I'm working to try and 100% Shadow's half by the end of the Fearless Campaign.
How is it? I haven't looked into it. My thoughts have been with the Stray release for switch. Asked for it for Christmas so I can't go out and buy it. So pretty much torturing myself lol

It's probably the best 3D Sonic game I have ever seen or played. Shadow's half of it is anyway. The story is solid and beautiful, the handling is sharp and precise, the mechanics are smooth, it's bug-free, and the levels flow. It's already one of my favorite games, second only to Minecraft
I'll admit, I haven't even touched Sonic's half of the game 😂 because I beat the original Generations several times already and I've heard so far that while it's not a bad remaster, it pales in comparison to Shadow's half.

Wow pretty high praise. I'll have to check it out

Just Finished the first run through The Planet Crafter on PC. Premise is you're dropped on a barren world as an alternative to doing prison time for unspecified crimes. Your job is to terraform it starting from nothing. An interesting take on the crafter builder genre. Took about 100 hours of casual play time to finish. No critters to fight or anything, but you can die if you run out of food, water or air (before you fully oxygenate the planet) Wait for it to be on sale if you want to check it out. it's 40% off on steam right now for less than 15. There's a DLC for it too that's another planet. Haven't tried that yet.

Got an old computer program to work.

It’s a program designed to teach you how to play chess effectively.

It’s got a nice story with it.

This is a picture of the final level.

It took several tries, because it was so hard, being the final level and all, but I eventually won with a Danish gambit accepted.

Chess terminology, I’m sure some of you may get the reference.

Here’s a screenshot from Green Hell on the PS5 Pro (a pretty realistic survival game set in the Amazon). On the base PS5, the game runs at a low frame rate and is almost unplayable. On the Pro, it runs pretty smooth and looks gorgeous. I’m thinking its going to run even better on the new TV with VRR turned on. View attachment 3997059

I've played Green Hell! Very pretty game with an interesting story. I should load it up on my new PC and see if it's even prettier, haha.

Lately I've been playing Baldur's Gate 3. I picked it up at the beginning of October and I don't think I've touched another game since, aside from some shiny hunting in Pokemon.

I have to ask because it keeps grabbing my attention-
Is “Green Hell” supposed to be a throwback reference to “Green Hill?” Because I do a double take every time I read it 😂

It's probably a reference to an infamous movie called "Green Inferno," which is a horrific, and I do mean horrific, movie about cannibals in the Amazon. I don't recommend you check out the movie. Its disgusting.

But the game Green Hell is cool. There's no cannibalism. It's just about survival in the Amazon. There's a story mode with a plot and then a straight-forward survival mode with no story. You're dropped into the middle of the Amazon and you have to survive by what you can forage, hunt, fish, and craft. It's pretty realistic for what it is.

It's "Hell" because the game has a brutal learning curve. You'll get food poisoning and parasites and die. You'll be stalked by a jaguar and die. You'll get bit by snake and die. You'll get lost away from your camp, stumble through the jungle in the dark, fall down a ravine, break an arm, get an infection, crawl into a cave, and die. The game is out to kill you.

Once you get good at it, it's actually relaxing.
