Any Gamers Here?

I haven't played any map but The Island because they files are so big I'd have to uninstall everything else on my computer to hold another map. XD My SSD is only 256.

Oh, I meant do you play The Isle, another dinosaur game, where you play as a dinosaur :)

My favorite server, Isla Nycta, has an ARK server as well as a server for The Isle.

Oh I thought you were referring to the new crystal isle map on Ark. I have not.

Edit: Oooh, it looks good tho....

Editedit; My computer might struggle running it. Gaming equipment's expensive and I'm always a few years behind tbh.

I had a similar experience (when I bought it it barely ran on my old lappy) but a computer than runs it well enough only costs about $700 now. Which is a lot of money but it's not like that's the only thing you do with a computer- I'm using my gaming laptop right now. Since I need a computer just to exist anyhow might as well make it good enough to get games at that point. I got this one for my birthday - a few people pitched in together to get it for me and I use it literally every single day. So it's a worthwhile investment in my experience. But it's really expensive to get something that can run brand new games. Like I'm not dropping 3K on a single computer or gaming system.
My partner D needed a computer good enough to run his 3D modeling software for his engineering classes for school so he ended up with a gaming-worthy tower as well kind of by coincidence. He built his for about 1K but his is a tower and has a 2tb HHD and a 256SSD and like 16gb ram and it's crazy compared to mine.

Pretty surprised to see a gaming thread here!

I've been gaming from a very young age - started with the old Jumpstart / Humongous Entertainment games, moved into the Harry Potter PC series, and then started with Nintendo products around age ten. Took a break for a few years in my early teens, and then got sucked back into it when I was introduced to Kingdom Hearts. (Which I adore, in all its convoluted glory.)

Gaming gets a bad reputation for being a solitary activity, but my mom / brothers were avid players as well, so it was very much a family experience. :) And as an artist, the concept art side of things is particularly intriguing.

As far as favorites go, I'm... all over the map, haha. I enjoy most major Nintendo franchises, as well as Spyro, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, and the old school Fire Emblem titles. Final Fantasy XV has been my current time-waster... I'm nearly fifty hours in and barely halfway through the actual story.

(I'm easily distracted; why waste time saving the world when I can launch the car off of high cliffs?)

Anyways! Sorry for rambling, just was excited to find some fellow gamers here.

Well good thing we aren't relying on you to save the world. 😂

I played some Fire Emblem.
One of the older ones though. Forget the name..... I like some of the music.
Also played the ds Spyro. I felt kinda stupid playing it, but it kept my attention for a while.

Spyro was my first "real" console game. It was the first videogame anyone ever bought for me. I love classic spyro.

I also love just faffing about in FFXV. Our PS4 is somewhat messed up though, the harddrive is broken in a specific spot and we can only keep one or two big games installed on the PS4 at a time, and right now it's FFVII. I've been considering going through it again though.
