Any Gamers Here?

I've always wanted to try frontiers.
I don't have any very modern consoles, my only one is a PS3, so I'm stuck with most of the old games. On the other hand, I've watched the play-through and cutscenes for almost every game.
I'm super excited for the next movie.
Have you ever played Generations?
Generations I skipped. My last sonic game before frontiers was sonic adventure 2. And that one where you're a werehog...don't remember the name. You're really missing out not having played frontiers. It's really beautiful and it's all open world but with classic sonic levels in cyberspace

I've heard that Frontiers is gorgeous. It's near the top of my list for "must-try" Sonic games. I do love listening to the music from that game though and it's on most of my playlists
The Werehog incident was Unleashed, I have that one
Generations is one of the best games for sure, great set-up for a brisk run down memory lane. I am super excited about the remaster where they are adding a path for Shadow for the Fearless campaign.
I've considered getting Adventure 2- is it any good?

Before frontiers sonic adventure 1 and 2 were my all time faves. If you wanna see the next sonic movie I suggest picking up adventure 2 because that's when you're introduced to Shadow: The Ultimate Lifeform. I'm interested to see how the movie will handle his character. From what I've already heard it's slightly off the origin story. Id say more but I don't wanna ruin the game for you

I know how the whole plot and story goes, I’ve watched the cutscenes for it multiple times 😂
Shadow is my favorite character, so I am looking forward to him being introduced into the next movie above all else
How are the gameplay mechanics and level flow for adventure 2? Control compatibility, sprite animation etc.?

Oh gawd it's been forever since I played so I'm working off of memory here. I've only ever played it on my Sega Dreamcast so I can't speak to any emulator if that's what you're using. I'd say it's roughly the same as adventure 1. Knuckles controls are a tad wonky to get used to especially on at least one level I recall because it's huge and it's timed and you have to find all of the shards before the timer runs out. If you find just the right spot by accident you can clip under the world but that can happen in adventure one as well. The animation is to be expected as it was on Dreamcast but I'd say for the time it's quite good. As with adventure one...the mouths don't really match up with the words but I feel like they did a better job of it. Sometimes it's hard to know what to do on certain tasks, bosses, etc but there are guides now which there weren't before.
