Any Gamers Here?

Been playing Farcry Primal all week. What an experience. I apparently didn’t play far into it when I set it down years ago.

This game has aged very well now that it has 60fps enabled. It also benefits from enabling the option to sharpen PS4 games and forcing HDR. Compare these screenshots to the screenshots from my previous post where I wasn’t forcing HDR or sharpening.

I also found a new PS4 survival game I overlooked called Stranded Deep that so far seems a lot like Green Hell, except on islands.

Finally, I just found out Green Hell VR had an update that added open maps. The VR version is from a different developer than Creep Jar and they used valley-like map design to avoid overtaxing the original Oculus VR it was designed for. I have it on PS VR2, which is a reasonably powerful platform. Looking forward to trying it with an open forest.

Two things happened to me this week that involves gaming. My sister showed me this game, and now I want to get it.

The game is Maestro VR.

For reference, I conduct music for my church. I think this game will really be fun for me.

The second thing that happened was this:

A $150 Yu-Gi-Oh deck, focusing around red eyes black dragon, my favorite deck I built, very powerful, lost to a $20 blue eyes white destiny structure deck in a two out of three match.

It was a close game.

Don’t you hate it when you invest in a deck, only to have it lose to a very cheap deck?

I saw Maestro last night while my daughter and I browsed VR games. We just got an ocean free diving game called Subside she enjoys so we’re looking to find her more games that are relaxing and fun for a child to mess around inside of. I’m going to look at Maestro again.

I can think of a few suggestions

- we love katamari reroll + royal reverie. It's a game where you try to roll up as many things as possible. Simple yet challenging and the game has colorful graphics and absurd settings

- any of the humongous entertainment games although I am partial to pajama Sam. Mostly point and click games that have loads of background objects to click on

- two point hospital and two point campus. Silly management sims where you can design a hospital or university

- the story of seasons games are fun farming games

- Scribblenauts unlimited you play as Maxwell who has a notebook that can make anything so you have to use it create objects to solve people's problems. It's very silly with potential for creative solutions

- Bloons TD 6 a fun tower defense game where you use various monkeys to pop Bloons

- plants vs zombies yet another tower defense game where you plant plants to keep the zombies off your lawn. It's very silly and loads of fun

Those are what popped to mind just looking at what's in my library
