i am currently raising a 2ish month old chick. She's a silkie cross(5 toes, fuzzy legs, adorable poofy bum) but I don't have any clue what she is bred with and neither does the breeder. She's lovely and carries a very soft chirp. I have noticed she has a very distinct head unlike any of my other birds (golden polish, laying hens, turkeys, peacock etc.) any ideas?

For now looks female, but anything involving a silkies can take longer to tell. Could be mixed with many breeds, you may or may not be able to guess after it matures.

Much to young to sex yet I'd say. Are you sure on the age? Doesn't look quite that old to me. A picture in natural daylight is best.

It has a big butt, so I will go with pullet. Big butts generally are hens, and ones that stand straight up are roosters. Aslo, young cockrels sometimes are more clumsy, and trip on their feet and fall a lot.
