Any Harry Potter fans out there?

I just found this thread and had to respond, even though it is old. I am a HUGE PotterHead !! I didn't see a new character in the Half-Blood Prince movie? Did anybody else? I have read Beadle the Bard. and the link to the quiz no longer works

Maybe the new character was the twins you see at Slughorn's little party. There is no mention of anyone like them in the books. Or perhaps they cut that character. However, there certainly wasn't an effect on the plot-line, such as it was. I am glad they are doing the next book in two parts. Perhaps they will do a better job. The part with the fire at the Weasly's really ticked me off in this last movie. What a waste of time... they could easily have put in another memory instead

Yeah, I was really annoyed with the fire at the Weasley's too. What really bothered me was they they had this big fire at The Burrow, yet it was never mentioned? No mention at all of where they were going to live, etc. I don't mind some of the things they do in the movie to make things move a bit faster...things that don't really affect the story in the big picture, but this did, and then for nobody to even mention it afterwards? Like when Ron goes back to HogWart's after the Christmas break...nobody says a word about it? Just so stupid.

I just wish they would hurry up and put the next movie out. They keep pushing it back. Right now it is slated for November 2010 and talk of pushing it back further. As it is, November makes it 1.5 years without any Harry Potter and I can't take the withdrawal any longer. LOL. Course I don't know what I am going to do when the last movie is made.

I also wonder what they are going to do about Harry not being the one to hide his potions book. If he didn't hide it, he didn't see the diadem and therefore won't know where to find it later on. I also wonder how they are going to find the locket since in the movie, they didn't do any of the cleaning at Sirus' house and didn't see the locket. It will be interesting to see how they handle the rest of the story since they changed so much early on.

I've handled my withdrawl by getting the extended versions of some of the movies at Target. New scenes!

My sister just took my niece to the Harry Potter Exhibit at the Museum of Science in Boston. I am planning on taking my kids during April vacation. My sister and niece said it was awesome, they really enjoyed it. It is a little expensive though.
