I have 3 ducks. Yesterday they were in the pond and one of my Drakes strayed fluttering in the pond I had to go in and get him he almost drown. When I got him out of the pond he stopped convulsing looked around and fell on the ground convulsing again I ended up having to put him down. I watched videos trying to figure out what happened to my little guy but cant seen to get any good answers. ANY feed back is appreciated. I don't want my other 2 ducks to go through what he went through. It was traumatizing for me and them to watch. Such a sad day it was.

I don't think something bit him. It seemed more like a health issue. He seemed like he was having a seizure his neck was folded back flopping around and he did this for couple hours till I finally put him down cuz I felt he was suffering.

I'm really worried about my other ducks. They seem fine now. I'm worried maybe it was something he ate or some kinda flu or a possible tick bite. I just don't know. First time duck owner.

How old are they? Babies, even "teenagers," can get waterlogged and ingest or breathe in too much water. It's not common, but it happens. Many, many years ago, we lost two, one very little, one about two months old, to (for lack of a better term) water-logging.
