Any Home Bakers Here?

Dinner turned out great! They loved the Brussels sprouts with corn bread croutons. They were very good. I have a lot of turkey left over so am baking bread this morning. I milled kamut grain into flour. The flour is a on the yellow side compared to read or white wheat. It has a nutty smell as it mills.

Gotta make a lot of turkey sandwiches!

Pic is not the greatest, but the bread was very good. The one on the right is Rye.

I absolutely love turkey sandwiches! I don't do anything special - just homemade yeast roll sliced in half (warmed about 20 sec. in the microwave), one side spread with mayo and the other with cranberry sauce. Then pile high with turkey and sprinkle with salt & pepper - delicious! I've already had two of them today.

We ate with friends and it was a lovely meal...ate the leftovers they sent home with us last night, but still a lot of turkey. So we are making dressing to go with it for tonite :)

I do miss the turkey sandwiches, but we do have a turkey breast in the freezer so may have to roast it soon.

going way off base bacon, eggs and hashbrowns tonight..... totally cleaned the new coop :barnie

Do you make your hash browns from scratch?

My mom used to make potato/onion kinda like a stir fry. I have tried to reproduce but never hit it right. Anyone do this?
