Any Home Bakers Here?

rjohns First things first. I am looking forward to reading your results. Here is one of
my favorites: Almond Cookies
l cup silvered almonds
l cup whole wheat flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup canola oil
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup rolled old fashioned oats
1 1/2 fresh or frozen blueberries
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries/halves
1/4 cup dried unsweetened cranberries
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground lemon zest
1. 350 oven toast almonds about 8 minutes
2, in medium bowl sift together flour.baking powder,and salt
in a large bowl beat egg, canola oil, maple syrup,and vanilla
add flour mixture and stir to combine, roughly chop toasted almonds add to
batter.along with oats,blueberries, cranberries, dried cranberries and lemon zest

3. line baking sheet with parchment paper and with tablespoon drop
Bake 350 oven 20-25 minutes makes 2 dozen cookies. Coll on rack.

Made them today and did not have cranberries...so I used dried cherries.
These Cookies are portable, nutritrious and perfect with coffee or a glass of cold milk. Aria

Well, fresh ground whole wheat took 5 cups of water to get shaggy and it's still not as shaggy as with AP. Going to let it rise a bit and may still add more water. IDK.

ETA: Debby/Ron, thoughts????
Whole grain flour will absorb more water. It will look different from AP flour but should work fine. A bit wet looking is good
 
I can't wait to see how it does!
If it is too dense, then adding gluten flour or subbing in 1\3 to 1\2 of flout as AP or Bread flour will help

@rjohns39 x2 on Ron's suggestions. I've never had luck with using only whole grain flour. Don't know if that's due to our altitude or just me :D

rjohns and Ron, Am excited to read the final results. I like the idea of adding
multigrains to this WONDERFUL recipe. Ron you think of the 7 cups of flour...
5 cups white and 2 cups multigrain?
