Any Home Bakers Here?

Thanks Penny. Will do, if I have a problem. I do think between my old Dell computer and AOL...there is a problem uploading...sometimes works and others does not. Thanks again.
Regards, Aria

Rats, self-taught. Here I was thinking I could blame my lack of skill to not being in the right class :p

I have an oldie Betty Crocker cookbook too. That thing must be over 40 years old now but there are still some of my favorite recipes in it.
I have mom's old Better Homes & Gardens cookbook, copyright 1941. Not as pretty as my other cookbooks - quite old and taped together, but I cherish it more than all the others! Some of the recipes have notes doodled on them by mom, and some by me when I was just a kid learning to cook & bake. I'm so glad to have it.

Ron, Thanks....but I did NOT find "thumbnail"....where is it? Aria
When you first reply and upload a picture, at the bottom below where you clicked on upload a file, all of the files you uploaded for a post will be listed as a preview image. Next to the first one, or the only one if you posed one, will be an option to move the picture or pictures into the post as a thumbnail or full image. Clicking on thumbnail or full image will move the preview into the post at the place that you set the cursor. Remember to click into the place that you want the picture to go.

When going back to edit a post, These options are not available until you click on more options.

My guess is that you may not be seeing the options at the bottom when inserting an image because of the screen size. Try scrolling down. Web pages do not care about fitting everything into a screen anymore because they are trying to make web pages mobile friendly. 10 years ago stuff fit a screen better. Now you often have to scroll down for seemingly endless pages. Sometimes my scrolling finger gets sore

I was going to for brittle, but chickened out in the last minute and went to wax paper. Now I wish I'd have kept my nerve.
If you do try it, keep in mind the surface gets oily if you use it for multiple batches, and things will spread more. Sometimes a good wiping with a paper towel is enough to combat that, sometimes it needs a washing in between.

What a coincidence...we were talking parchment paper & silicone yesterday and this article came up on MSN:
ar-BBH70ud

I thought they were pretty much interchangeable but guess it's best to choose one over the other depending on what you're baking.
Accurate article. I believe parchment is superior to silicone for cookies. Ruined a few batches of buttery cookies on silpat before I learned about how to control spreading issues. However, silicone is better for cookies that are supposed to be thin, like lace cookies.
