Any Home Bakers Here?

I, most definitely, LOVE to bake! My mom taught me how to at a very early age, and one of the first things she taught me how to make was Gingerbread. And now, 44 years later I still make some every year at least twice.
Welcome Wagon.gif Welcome to the home bakers Thread!

I have a dentist appt. later today, so will make a pot of stew in the slow cooker. That way, if Hubs beats me home, dinner will be waiting for him. Slow cookers come in so handy sometimes!
I hope you can eat the stew! I have had time limits on when I could eat after some dental work.

Today is supposed to be a nasty, snowy day, so I'm making a big thing of split pea soup! I've got 3 lbs of dried split peas soaked and a 7lb ham ready to go. Need to run down and pick up carrots when the store opens, before the snow gets too bad. I can't wait to eat it. It's one of my favorites!
Split Pea Soup...OMG, how I hated that. Now I'm older and I never have it at all...thank goodness. Lol

We're a house divided on split pea...DH loves it and I can do without. That's one of the few things we don't share a common taste for. @Auroradream26 if you have extra, send a bowl our way, you'll be a friend of DH's forever!
