Split Pea Soup...OMG, how I hated that. Now I'm older and I never have it at all...thank goodness. Lol

DH always hated it. Not for the taste, but the look. He airways said it looked like the "dangerous soup" (Are You Afraid of the dark?) But now he LOVES it. Mine is fantastic lol.

We're a house divided on split pea...DH loves it and I can do without. That's one of the few things we don't share a common taste for. @Auroradream26 if you have extra, send a bowl our way, you'll be a friend of DH's forever!

I do plan to can some....

Make Lentils the same way as split peas soup. It is similar but maybe different enough that both of you will like it. Lentils are great with some smokey sausage and carrots in it.

A nice roll goes well with it too of course and some dark German beer to drink
