I was following a recipe for pasta using the grinder attachment plate that goes on the kitchen aid grinder. The dough was too stiff..so stiff that it broke the plastic plate!

I learned a lot from that experince

wow now one thing I will say for paying just 19.95 for the pasta machine there are no plastic
parts barring the handle for the crank

Cap you stole my thunder... I like to make egg noddles and dry them on my pasta drying rack. rather than cut them, I just break them into right sized pieces. Sometimes I use flour, sometimes semolina and sometimes a mix. Just depends on mood and energy. Have to grind the semolina and whole grains.

Hello,

I caught some decent sized trout today, and I cooked them up in foil in my fireplace. Nice smokey flavor!

Hello,

@igorsMistress, I usually cook trout just the way it is after cleaning and scaling. Nothing else. On occasion I add dill and lemon juice. It is good either way, it falls right off the bone with the way I cook it.

Truth be told, I dont keep many fish. I only kept the big one because my Japanese friend wanted to try to eat one. The small one was kept because its gill got hooked badly, and it would die whether I put it back or not.
