Any Home Bakers Here?

I was in the region called the Eifel. I lived in Spangdahlem and the hotel was is dudledorf. Zum Alten brauhouse is the place I stayed. They've given it a face lift, but last time I was there I was living in Saudi... Sooooo 94/95ish. While we lived there (3 years) we tried to go over at least one Wednesday a month. The chef was always following me around with a notebook. My biggest problem with German recipes is finding ingredients. I never translated. If the recipe called for X I went to the local store and bought it. Now days I use German Deli.com a lot to find what the recipe calls for and read in English what the ingredients are, then go find a similar product on the shelves here. And in a worst case scenario, I'll just order it from the german deli.

Looks like a really nice place Bob! Good tip on the deli site too. Thanks!

Oh no, I just pulled up the web site and it said they were out of business :(

DigMyChicks: I copied your recipe and Ron's. Just want to
double check There is 2......1/3 Oil? They are just added at
different times. OR AM I NOT READING CORRECTLY. Thanks

:pop Cause I'm gonna try em both... and let DW be the judge. Again, I'm not a big brownie fan... But I hate anything that comes in a box with words you can't pronounce.

I haven't used them in months as I haven't had the money. So sad. I still want to learn how to make my favorite lunch meats. Google translate gives you obtuse definitions of ingredients. I need to find someone who reads German well and can translate.
