When I was 11, my oldest brother bought a humongous pumpkin. He carved it, and put my 7-yr-old brother inside to scare the heck out of people.

Some squash makes a very good pie too--Just call it pumpkin and no one will know

Depends on the kind of pumpkin. One of the best pies I ever had came from a field pumpkin that was sold as a jack-o-lantern pumpkin.
