Any Home Bakers Here?

I made a big pot of chicken noodle soup today! I'm never prepared for how long it's going to take when I start it and it always reminds me. But I got it done and now have 3 gallon zip lock bags full of it in the freezer and a bag of extra broth for next time. We had it for supper tonight.... Amazing! I used bone broth in it that I had made and canned a couple months ago. The broth was dark and delicious!
 
Tomorrow is the day! The mixer and the cover are in the area, so there shouldn’t be anymore delays. The counter has been scrubbed and rearranged repeatedly. I even took a Magic Eraser to it. :lol: I want to paint the counter to make the mixer feel welcome.
We expect a report on the first thing you make with it (with pictures).

I have probably three times this number of recipe books, but never use them! However, I couldn’t get comfortable with the biscotti recipe I was looking at, so I took a book out last night, and I’m actually going to follow it! Well, except for the orange and lemon zest.

I like cook books too. Figured I had enough of them and started picking up cooking magazines. Now I have way too many of both (and that's not counting the recipes I find online and print off). :lol:

When you enjoy baking....you do COLLECT recipes. And later we
stick to our old reliable ones. I have 5 or 6 Ring binders full of recipes. AND now I have one three ring binder marked MY Favorites and I use that one most often. Just do what you feel
like doing at the moment. Whatever we do IS FINE. Enjoy Aria

Debby, No covers on mine. I am not as neat as you I guess. ha ha
Recipes are in there and that is fine with me. As you get older...
you will find this small stuff is NOT important. YES, it is time to do what pleases you and your family. Aria
