:pop Still waiting!

I am starting to print out the recipes that we like and put them in a 3-ring binder. I have a gazillion recipes on my notebook, but DH is getting fairly set in his ways and usually only wants the same old stuff. It is rare that I get a chance to make something different, unless I don't ask and just make it. Then I get the hairy eyeball and silence until suppertime and he tries it.

I ask him if he liked something new I made, and he says yes. Then, a little while later, I ask if he will eat it again sometime and if he says yes the second time - that is when I put the recipe into the word document, print out the recipe page and put it into a page protector in the 3-ring binder.

This way, when we are trying to plan out something for supper, I will be able to hand him the 3-ring binder of stuff he likes and he can page through it.

And, if we have company over and I get asked for the recipe - I can pull it out of the binder, photocopy it and hand it over.

I was getting ready to post:
:he
Everyone puffs up the cover while waiting, right?

But now there’s actually a mixer under there! :celebrate

I may have teared up as I unpacked it, but I refrained from taking pictures of the first bath of the bowl and beaters.
Twenty minutes until Duckling wakes. I can’t use it until then.

YAY!
I love getting new stuff. :celebrate:clap:celebrate:clap Use it well, I know you will love it.

WARNING: Don't put your hand in there while it is turning.

:oops:Not sure what I was doing as this happened over 5 years ago (yikes - 5 years already?). BUT, I somehow got my hand in there and luckily the beater only hit my ring finger. It bent my wedding ring but didn't damage my hand at all. First thing I checked was if any of the tiny little diamonds had fallen out - who wants to find a diamond in their piece of bread, right? I still need to get the ring fixed ... I managed to get the ring off, but I cannot get it on my finger anymore.

I can't believe I haven't worn my wedding ring for 5 years. I will have to get it fixed before our 20 year anniversary this year.
