Thank you! Can I skip the raisins or will it change the recipe too much?

I always skip the raisins in cake, just personal preference.

I knew we had a discussion on carrot cakes and I had posted my Moms recipe. So I went to the Google document and it is on Page #4, post #40

Thanks to the Computer Guru's who compiled that document, it is really handy.

EDITTED TO ADD: I can't believe that was only page 4. And now we are on page 1839. Wow!

I should not have them either but have used a similar recipe not adding raisins or nuts
but like a Elks recipe

Try cutting the raisin quantity in half. It just doesn't seem like carrot cake without the raisins to me.

I found it because I know what it is called - I would not normally look for Carrot cake under M.
It is not listed on page 1, but it is in the Google Spreadsheet.

Anybody ever tried blue potatoes? A friend gave me these and I fried them. I asked the guys if I should get more and it was a unanimous NO. They ate them which shocked me as they didn’t even look appetizing. The fish was yummy though...caught by my son.

The blue potatoes I had were boiling potatoes not frying potatoes. Not enough starch in them for frying
