oh noooooooooooooooooo what brand and age do you sew with been out all day now off to cook chicken

We used to have a sewing machine repair shop here in Woodland. I hope yours can be fixed!

I fixed it! It took me a couple hours to figure out what the problem was but I got it. I took half the thing apart and it got oiled in every possible place that it could while I was at it lol. An Allen head screw (is that what they're called?) came loose and a couple gears that were supposed to mesh, slid apart. It took me a while to figure out that those were actually screws and that they needed re-tightened, after I took forever trying to line the gears back up in the correct position. I'm happy to have it working again!

@penny1960 it's an older Kenmore 12 stitch. It was my mom's when I was a kid and she gave it to me a few years ago when she got a new one.

I have a old Husqvarna Viking 1942 also called little green machine and now a 1955 Necchi thatc I am learning still but one things I learned fast oil them often even when they say none needed

hello everyone ,hope you don,t mind me joining in .I haven,t baked for a while but seeing and reading what you do I,ve decided to start again going shopping tomorrow to stock up on ingredients and start over the weekend .at the moment I have a large pan of soup cooking just went to tidy my freezer found bits of this and that so put it all in the pan will blend it when ready then add different spices etc as I eat it .it should last me a few days theres only me .also sorting all my jars out to get ready marmalade and lemon curd making ,sorry this is so long .
