Any Home Bakers Here?

The only way I’m willing to get Seramas or Silkies is if I use them to brood quail. I’d still prefer Seramas. Silkies look mentally challenged.

I hatched a couple of silkies and a show girl rooster. The Silkies had mind control. When I would check on them, the next thing I knew I was holding them....I had to re home them quickly after that...

These were very friendly

Penny, Silkies are not ailens....they are beautiful birds. How neat
that you are trading eggs for bread. I would like to find someone

I gave them their own coop it has two rooms can hold 8 real birds nooooo I have 4 silky in it

I hate rir pesky awful always disliked the little devils I have 4 silky call them the girls
I swear not real birds they have a private coop they are so small I am afraid our outside cats would kill them .. these girls are from a great breeder of them but 5 toes only suppose to have 4 .. they have a tractor they can be out in View attachment 1698835

Actually, Silkies are supposed to have 5 toes on each foot. Your Silkies are very cute!

My Grandmother told me the the farm women would all take turns to bake the bread for everyone once a week.
Everyone helping each other in their many house hold/ kitchen chores. This along with canning & such.
It is wonderful, the bartering system. When each side concludes it has made a fair "deal".
So gratifying. We try to partake of this as much as possible.
