Personal preference grass fed stinks I would not cook if it was free .. Grained out is the only way Dr. OZ is a quack in my vie go any way the dollar takes him
Growing up the beef was grass fed for a couple of years and then finished for a couple of months on corn.

It was so good!

I had homemade icecream once, I didn’t care for it. I am a big fan of Culver’s frozen custard.
 Once, huh?

The following is just chattering.
My husband told me he didn’t like oatmeal raisin cookies. Guess what his favorite cookie is now?
I have learned an important lesson as an adult. Just because I didn’t like it as a child or when I had it elsewhere, doesn’t mean I don’t like it when I make it.
Some people put carrots and peas and wayyyy too much breading in their meatloaf. I was not raised eating Eddie/MLA/Meat Loaf, so my first taste was a turnoff.

We used to buy 1/2 a beef from a friend of DH's. It was probably the best beef I have ever eaten! He would raise 4 steer every year, and they were on pasture 24/7 - but got a bit of grain every day because they were in with the horses. The steer got way too pushy about getting their share of the horse grains whenever the wife went out to feed the horses - so he started to give them grain at the same time but in a different location. They only got a little bit, a grain scoop for the four of them, so they were mostly grass-fed but they were so tender and delicious. The butcher would wait and buy 1/2 a beef from our friend for his own personal freezer - that is how good it was.

So not all grass-fed beef is bad.

The grain-fed beef in the store is typically on pasture until they are shipped to the feed-lot to "fatten them up". It is most economical that way. The grain-based diet they get on the feed-lot puts alot of weight on the animal fast - meat and fat weight.

This is very true!

I have had a couple of people tell me they did not like clam chowder. They had some of mine and loved it! There is a big difference in preparation of foods
