I'd probably go with cookies, bars and cupcakes. Maybe some individual pies.

If I could decorate like DMC, cupcakes would be nice. But I can't. So thought I'd do a couple of cakes, cut kind of small. Definitely do some cookies. I have a lemon blueberry cheesecake bar recipe. Any other ideas for bars?

What about a big fruit salad as one of the offerings? I was thinking that might be nice for people that don't want a sugary snack. Something made up of berries, bananas and grapes?

Texas Sheet Cake. The recipe and a lot of other very good desserts, etc. are in the Grandma's Recipes cookbook that I gave you. The Cherry Bars never lasted long.

The Texas sheet cake is already one of the things on my list...the woman retiring has had mine before and really likes it. I like it because it's easy to make and makes a lot

I'm on the hunt for some ideas...

I've been asked to provide food for a retirement reception next week and part of what has been asked for are desserts, lots of desserts, to go along with other finger-type savory dishes. There's an estimated 60 people showing up. What would you guys do for a variety of desserts for a crowd?

You could do cupcakes also.

How about chocolate cornets? This idea is a little out there, but it still makes a delicious dessert. Just a thought. I have a recipe if you want to try it.

Thanks Debby! Watch a pinterest tutorial...it is very easy to do swirls and make a cupcake pretty.
