A Chicken Question: August 1 we purchased 3 chickens l RIR
and two cream crested legbars....the second day we gathered eggs.
Now the RIR is ok...but the 2 legbars are not laying eggs. They should be settled in by now? They were free range and now they
have our coop and a run. We have had so many problems losing our chickens....Could this be a problem? They may want to free
range? or? Help. Aria

The CCLs that I have had weer finicky and not very good egg layers.

I suspect they will pick up laying but then slow down for the winter.

Ho old are they?

It can take a bit for them to adjust and with the days getting shorter and the molt time coming it could be a while. How old are they? Did you look them over for mites/lice? Check for worms or were they wormed before you got them?

They are one year old. I did not know they were finicky.

I got new scoops and muffin/cupcake pans. So excited! I’ve been looking for something decent for a long time. These pans are heavier then expected.

I’m excited to try themI have the old ones from my mom. One is good, the other I have to put an aluminum cake pan cover under or they burn.
