Strawberry cake
This is not written as a recipe, but rather an IDEA.
There are Strawberry cake recipes in the index.
I had some extra strawberries, and as most know,, strawberries do not carry a long shelf life. So,,,,, before they start going south, I decided to make a strawberry cake.

The dough is a basic yellow cake dough. (eggs, sugar, Oil or Butter, flour, baking powder),, I did make it somewhat stiff. Pushed the strawberry halves into the dough.

Notes: This same cake IDEA can be applied to any number of fruits.

Wouldn’t that qualify as a “buckle?“
I had to look that term up. First time coming across it, (besides buckle on belt)

Definition and Characteristics
A buckle is a type of dessert that combines elements of cake, cobbler, and crisp. It typically consists of a soft, tender cake base, fruit mixed into or placed on top of the batter, and a streusel or crumb topping that adds crunch and sweetness. The name “buckle” comes from the way the cake buckles or sinks around the fruit during baking, forming indentations on the surface. Common fruits used include blueberries, strawberries, peaches, and apples, but any ripe fruit can be incorporated.
