Strawberry cake
This is not written as a recipe, but rather an IDEA.
There are Strawberry cake recipes in the index.
I had some extra strawberries, and as most know,, strawberries do not carry a long shelf life. So,,,,, before they start going south, I decided to make a strawberry cake.

The dough is a basic yellow cake dough. (eggs, sugar, Oil or Butter, flour, baking powder),, I did make it somewhat stiff. Pushed the strawberry halves into the dough.

Had some streusel left in refrigerator, so on top it went.

40 minutes at 350°F and stick punch came out dry.

Did not wait too long to sample. Still warm.

Notes: This same cake IDEA can be applied to any number of fruits.

I had to look that term up. First time coming across it, (besides buckle on belt)
So I agree, it is a BUCKLE.

Learned something new today.

My mom used to make an apricot upsidedown cake. She put halved apricots cut side down in a pan, then pour batter over it. When done flip it, and the apricots are on top.
