Debby, I think your cookies turned out awesome!

Well here are the results on the muffins with the 18 hour rise. They do taste better, but are harder to work with and well, take more than 18 hours. So not sure the bang is worth the buck. Once I have a proofer I'll try again.

They look good Bob! I'll be interested in knowing how they turn out when you get a proofer.

Nice Bob!

With breads that take that long, The fridge is your friend!

When you are up to the baking stage, pop it into the fridge until the next day and then bake them. You can also hit pause at other stages that way.

Ah, it's an easy one...no fail!!!
Angel Fingers
1 lb butter, room temperature (salted)
1 cup powdered sugar (more for coating later)
5 cups flour
1/4 cup cold water
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups nuts (I use pecans)
In a stand mixer, cream butter and powdered sugar together well. Add vanilla, salt and then cold water. Slowly add flour until incorporated. After all this, mix in the nuts.

Form into fingers. Bake at 350-375 degrees (360 convection for me) for approx 15 min. (ovens vary) Roll in powdered sugar when warm and again when cool. Makes 10+ dozen.
Thanks for the recipe!
