This is a great way to get rid of all that Halloween candy. It is also very adaptable, just use what you have on hand. This is one of my family favorites.

Wow, have you all seen the Index on page 1 of this thread lately? It's lonnnnnnnng!

@OrganicFarmWife I never would have thought to combine the candy bar with the fruit that way.

Is everyone beginning to have Thanksgiving thoughts? One of our little local stores had frozen turkeys on sale this weekend for $0.69 a pound so we picked up a couple; the 13 lb. one we'll have for our T-day dinner and the little 8 lb. one we'll keep on hand in the freezer for something else.

Where has time gone, T day is almost here. Great find on the turkeys. And then Christmas

.

@OrganicFarmWife I have never had apples with chocolate but see a lot of dessert recipes that mix them. Neat idea.

I cooked a pot roast last night in my dutch oven. It was wonderful! and very tender.

I also baked blueberry banana bread in the morning(in loaf pans--not the dutch oven...).

That's a thing? people actually have leftover Halloween candy?
I can not even buy it in advance and hope for it to last to Halloween.

Lol well my girls are 1 and 3 so yeah we have a lot of candy leftover. Especially any chocolate bars that have nuts in them, because nuts are hard to eat when you do not have molars. So that means I eat them all, which does wonders for my waist line.
