I made sourdough English Muffins last night. I used Ron’s recipe. I didn’t have buttermilk so I used kefir. I saw a YouTube video where they were cooked in a covered cast iron skillet so I did that and 9 minutes total time was plenty. Next time I’m using a bigger cutter though, 3 inches is just too small.

Very nice!

A bigger cutter will help for sure

I was rooting around in the kitchen looking for candidates, I think a wide mouth mason jar lid is a good size. It was a real fun bake! Can’t wait to make another batch!
Oh and I fed my starter and left it out till bedtime, just as you told me.:gig
Have you named your starter yet? Starters are like a pet to most of us LOL!

Mine are 3 1/2 there is like 8 here gladly give you a few have no idea why
they where bought. His dead wife spent money like no tomorrow but never held a job

@bruceha2000 he is what nightmares are made of.
:( I am extremely sorry to hear that.
No way out?
I suspect you need a lot of :hugs

Our asparagus is just starting - I found 5 spears yesterday and we had them for supper.
Oh, maybe I better go look tomorrow ... and pull all the grass out of the bed as usual.

I only discovered asparagus 16 years ago. It was love at first bite, but I just don’t think to buy it.
Maybe because it can be pretty expensive out of "local" season? The best price I ever see on sale is $1.99/lb. Of course compared to artichokes, even twice that would be a deal. When I found out I could grow artichokes as an annual a few years ago, life got better :D

It really is.
If that is the WORST of your problems, I'd say things are going pretty well.

Give me some time and I'll be up there to help you out. Hoping to move this fall.
You'll practically be next door neighbors!

I don’t think my DH cares to much for it, but he doesn’t like garlic bread. Weirdo.
VERY much a weirdo ;) Garlic is a life staple, no garlic, life is not worth living.

I would think so. I'm really going to have to try making those. I do have some mason jars so I can make them larger than 3".
