Pumpkin apple butter double muffins- I won't post the recipe unless someone asks since it's GF, but it's a basic applesauce muffin that I switched the applesauce out with some very robust and rich pumpkin apple butter I made. That's why the muffins are so dark and rich looking. Tasty too! Like taking a bite right out of October.

Tortilla chips were surprisingly easy. Slice, sprinkle, bake.
We use tortilla chips here much like you guys might use crackers and we crush them into soups, so I purposely cooked some of them a few minutes longer so they would be nice and crispy for soups. Used Himalayan pink salt.

Dutch Babies. No pics of yet another failure. This time I added some baking powder, thinned the batter to the consistency of heavy cream, like many of the published recipes say it should be, and spread between 2 pans to see of less batter would rise better. Yeah, no.
However, instead of being like eggy French Toast, it was more like a big pancake. The top and outer edges, where it was the driest, reminded me of the taste of an ice cream cone. It had almost that same papery dry feel when you bite onto a cone filled with ice cream, yet soft on the inside from the melting ice cream.
Or at least from what I can remember of plain ice cream cones. It's been a while.
Good though, but different.

Pizza last night was GREAT! I failed to get a picture, though. Oh well.
We'll believe you ... this time ;)

Went shopping today. No wheat flour to be seen anywhere. Costco had plenty of white flour including KA in the 25# bags. I don't need any white at the moment. My local family owned market had several varieties of white flour in 5# bags.

I have not tried again to get wheat flour. I’m happy for the white flour and bread flour. Target actually has the flour and corn soft tortilla shells (various sizes), corn flour and corn meal in stock most of the time. It’s funny, but give Target a try for your baking needs.
Good to know, thank you. I was having a hard time finding corn tortillas anywhere for a while so I tried to locate some masa harina, so that we could make our own, and zip zilch nada on that too. Usually they are easily found so maybe my area is finally getting more normal foods back in.
