I think I've found the recipe I want to try (once I have all the ingredients):
kolache

There's a lot of history about them at the beginning (I thought it was interesting) and the recipe is towards the bottom. This article also has a version that's like one large one with the different toppings on each "slice".

Compareing they are identical in ingredient makes me what to try both oh darn

One of the things I like about the non-KA one are the filling recipes included.

As for the number of eggs, I think 2 would make for a richer dough.

I only use unbleached all purpose or a combination of unbleached all purpose and wheat flour to make bread. It comes out excellent for me.
That’s what I use also.
I was going to post the same thing to Penny's comment about being forced to use unbleached. I see NO reason to bleach the flour.

Tonight I made the KA Basic Sourdough loaf again. Kinda forgot to put it in when the oven got to temp so it rose a bit more than planned but it looks OK. I substituted 1/2 of the AP with wheat. We'll see how it tastes in the morning.

Nice job Bruce!
Just made some cute Mother’s Day cupcakes for my Mother-In-Law. She loves sunflowers so I kind of ran with a Pinterest idea I saw years ago but did things slightly different. They’re not the prettiest but they taste good! I knew it’d take awhile so I just used store bought box mix/frosting/cookies but nonetheless it tastes fine! Here are some photos of the first ones made:

Very nice!

Happy Late Mother's Day to all the moms. bonus moms, and mom like figures.
Wish I could say I was late posting that because I spent the day baking yesterday, but I didn't. I did the next best thing... spent most of the day being lazy and it was nice.

I finally ventured out to Sam's Club today (no Costco here) and am happy to report there were plenty of baking supplies. Bread/cake flours, AP flours (a huge pallet full) sugars, yeast, and all the supports. My store actually had most everything in including some TP, cleaners, and meats.
Because I typically have to order my GF flours anyway, I've been ordering all my other staples on line, so for those who are having a hard time finding regular flours, maybe try going to/ordering from Costco or Sam's??

In other news...the ATK books had absolutely nothing about altitude adjustments nor did their site, which is geared towards typical baking so I was rather surprised. A couple of other GF flour sites had some tips so taking those along with the ones you guys posted I think I feel confident in making some adjustments to my overall baking and seeing if it helps.

Everyone's pics look mouth watering...especially the Cinnabons and sunflower cookies. Yum! I may not be able to eat them, but it was not a hard thing to at least look at them on Mother's Day. :D

That is nice to hear. We have BJ's here in our area. I am going to check with them for Bread Flour. Made my first batch of my husband's Rolls. And as Ron said: I needed to add more flour to my
recipe. Final results (no taste yet) appearance....they look ok. Aria
