Any Home Bakers Here?

Okay now had take photo of our spice cabinet it is built in this is how we bought it but we filled it

Okay have not made this do not care for it but in a 62 year old recipe book
"Try me" Bread pudding

Ingredients

5 slices day old bread
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup moist raisins
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups scalded milk
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Instruction
Bake at 350 25 Minutes until knife comes out clean
Toast bread spread with butter while still hot. Arrange in buttered baking dish and sprinkle with raisin.
Beat eggs add 6 tbsp sugar and salt. Add milk to egg mixture mix well let stand for 10 minutes.. Pour over pressing toast down occasionaly so that it soaks up the mixture. mix remain suagr and add cinnamon stir then sprinkle on top over the pudding ... Bake until top is brown

Me too! Except that I started JUST before the whole Covid mess did so I don't count as a panic beginning baker.

It should help. BTW, in case anyone is looking for oven cleaner and they have a self cleaning oven DON'T use the oven cleaner!

The vietnamese cinnamon is supposed to be one of the strongest.

I would love to try it, I love cinnamon.


Dang and double dang! Not only was that my guess, there was even a whole 9 minutes between ask and the correct answer given. I coulda been a contenda!


You'll have to find some UK "affiliated" people, Christmas pudding isn't a "thing" in the USA. I would suspect that most in this country have never seen one.

A lot of people love it here, especially the olds but this old lady was never that keen on it, and usually only ate it too be polite.
