When you are the number one and care taker you tend to not think about yourself. Your health comes first so you are there when they need you.

Bob, THANKS. In fact they try to get my husband to make major decisions and he tells them to call HOME. AND they keep doing it. It has been more difficult since he went to One Hospital came home because he was so unhappy there and asked to be discharged. They should not have sent him home...he was NOT READY. He was home one week and the same incident happened and this time ambulance was instructed to take him to another hospital. Better there...but his wishes were not always followed. They may have thought he was NOT aware...HE WAS. Later things changed...a bit and now he is in Rehab at a different facility. We had few choices...since several had Covid Wing and some had Covid outbreak in the Rehab. We located a facility that did not have a Covid wing or since the outbreak had NO Covid. They do not allow visitors...and do provide close phone contact for the patient. We are praying he does improve and is able to come home...Don't be afraid to tell them to slow down, re-explain or give me a minute to process what you just said. And don't be ashamed to ask questions and make them explain their answers so you understand it. They throw a ton of stuff at you all at once... Once they understand they aren't done until you're satisfied, things go a lot smoother.
They looked at me strange when I told Sue's Neuro that I wanted to review the imagery with him... He didn't know I have 13 years experience with that technology and am familiar with how the software works... I had him show me the basic markers I needed so that I understood what I was looking at and then we went on. He kind of freaked out when I had him slow down, move back a slice, rotate 90* and magnify 50%. And then asked him to explain what I was looking at. It turns out that was the very area they think the aneurism was in.
My point is that you know a lot and getting what they say into terms you understand makes a tremendous difference.
