Yep, don't know when I will have time, but planning on it. Trying to decide a new "look" and maybe try out some new techniques.

I'd like to try a chicken coop gingerbread house but haven't gone so far as to plan it yet. I've never made one from scratch before, might be kind of fun.

I use a Wright mold, so easy, but it would be fun to make your own pattern out of cardboard and cut the parts.

But here's instructions I use for the house, but I buy meringue powder for the royal icing - not to waste my hen's eggs.

As usual I've missed a lot... enchiladas, sourdough, gingerbread... I'm always starving when I read this thread!

I have a question about frosting;
My daughter is having an Alice in Wonderland birthday in a couple weeks & I wanted to make her frosted cookies with the writing on them like in the cartoon. Any ideas how to make a frosting that would be smooth & hard & not smear? Also, would I use the same kind of frosting to write on the top? I have zero experience with this, so any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Royal icing is the one you want, but I have never made it.
