Beans are so seasonal. Even if they say the same name I’m finding differences.

I made Cheesecake on Sunday night. It is almost gone.
Was going to make another one for company on Friday night, but one of the ladies likes to bring dessert to gatherings, so I will let her.

Maybe next time they will get cheesecake, or maybe I can convince DH to make his lava cakes on the grill. Yum to those. DH said that it was probably better to let the gal bring a pan of dessert instead of "showing her up" with a higher class dessert. Didn't know I married a dessert snob. She usually makes brownies, rice krispie treats or just a sheet-cake with frosting. I like them all.

I watched a cooking show where they made a lava cake. The secret was to use ganache in the middle to make the ooze

The ones my DH makes are single serving size in ceramic bowls and the lava is cream cheese with sugar and mini-chocolate chips. I will have to find the recipe.

That is very true! even the same one from the next year can be different

These are a couple I’ve been trying. The roaster oven elements have broken and replacement parts have been out of stock since June. So I’m using a cast iron skillet and the bbq burner instead

That was one of the first desserts I ever made for DH. I'll go find my recipe later today and share it, it's pretty basic but we like it.
