Light dependent and breed dependent. I am getting a few eggs a day from White Leghorns without providing additional light. I am not getting any eggs from my Legbars.

I would need to rethink my breeds if I move to colder climate. White Cornish really like to be warm, plus they don’t lay many eggs anyways.
When are your turkeys laying? Do you sell and ship eggs?

My turkeys typically start laying the middle of March and run into October. I do not sell or ship turkey eggs.

All of the varieties that I have had, have done well for me. When I had broad breasted turkeys, they were strictly for food and served their purpose well. I raised Blue Slates for many years and am currently raising Sweetgrass. I have had Bourbon Reds and Royal Palms in the past.

I messaged Aria but have not heard back from her.

When I messaged her, I knew she was struggling. I decided to give her my phone number in case she ever needed to talk through stuff. This was a while ago.

I have not heard anything from her since.

OK it’s quite different here. Last dozen sold was first week of November. First dozen sold was in February last year. We still have days of zero eggs now but get enough to keep us going. Except for Christmas baking that’s when we bought the fertile eggs at Raleys. 4 of them recently hatched. Will you be getting new hens?

I'm limited to 6 and have 5 now, so won't be adding any until these pass away in their sleep due to old age.

I’m allowed 60, sometimes I’m way over sometimes I’m way under. Never below 20, not for a very long time.
