Any Home Bakers Here?

When I was about 9, my grandmother broke her arm and was in traction for a few weeks. She had to learn to walk again. I didn't understand why she had to learn to WALK when she broke her ARM. (Cuz she was flat on her back, in bed, and 70-something, DUH, kid! I didn't understand.)

I broke my dominant hand wrist 6 years ago. It took a year to get all the mobility back.

Grandma, I understand what you went through. I will never take any mobility for granted again.

@Aria, you have my best wishes for your recovery. I'm glad to hear your son and DIL are helping you. Please take care of yourself. :hugs
YES. We understand. And the older you are the slower you will heal. I will be extra careful for sure. Not having mobility is awful.
AND we do not realize it...until we experience it. Aria

With whole grains, it helps to soak them fist for hydration. whole grains sop up a lot of moisture.
Funny you said that, for the first time I soaked the flour in the amount of water needed then left it fo 30 minutes before adding the sourdough and honey plus a squirt of fresh lemon mixed then left too proof.

I really like the bags you suggested and made another order for similar to store fruit veg and spices :)

My husband would agree with you. He broke his hip in March 2020 and had his third stroke as well. he is always telling me that everyone should have to walk for one day in his shoes.

He is doing much better at this time. He can walk without a walker for a few feet which is new. He is beginning to get his strength back as well.

You should get back to normal in short order.

Glad to have you back
