Any Home Bakers Here?

I've cooked black beans a few times, for mixing in with rice. I have a recipe for "refried" beans using pinto beans that I want to try, but haven't yet.
I made mexican rice in the instant pot last week. It was very good!
 
Hmmm... Not that I know of. I think you have to start with tea. I do add fruit juice when I bottle it sometimes.

Or are you asking how to grow your own "mother"? You need that to get the culture going. A lot of people call it a SCOBY, which stands for symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast.
Starting it off would be good because I have no idea where to get this scoby. I met someone that used to have a large container full of this . I thought he got it going on his own through a peach stone.

This was a very long time ago, I really enjoyed the taste. :)
 
I was able to make my Pot of Soup ...put in glass jars in refrigerator.
And now I am cooking GREENS...to add to my soup or have as a side
veggie. It is not easy getting back to cooking. But i am trying a little
at a time. I have cooked food in freezer to just warm left by my son and his wife. Baking???? I think in the future. NOT able to stand too
long. and my ankle swells when I do...so NO...go sit for a while. Aria
