I'm making Conchas while I can hear DD play an advert jingle on her guitar thats on tvs over the pond... I dont know it as a jingle.. wonder if you can guess what she is learning.

Anyway I took some photos to show its not that hard to do. (same applies to the melon pan, I make them the same way.)

Make the dough balls.

Squash the topping balls down with your fingers to make a disk

Put the dough ball on top

Bring the clingfilm up and twist making it ball shaped in your hand.

Turn them out onto the baking sheet.

Make a pattern on top and leave to rise.

Nice tutorial on making them!

I’m running low on bread so am considering feeding my starter today to start sourdough tonight but we’re starting a heat wave and the oven heat will not be welcome tomorrow!
Nice!

I have a new bread baking book to read. It is from the Women that wrote the first book on no Knead breads! She does not get credit for starting it though. That is given to a Man 10 years later!

I'm going to need to find time to do some "bake and freeze". DD1 should be coming home for a few weeks near the end of the month. No making gluten flour goods when she is around.

The Sun is shining and I am
mixing 3 Loaves of Sourdough Honey Oat Bread. My
family is coming tomorrow. Later I will be making a
tuna salad and Lentil Soup for lunch when they arrive.
I can't tell you how happy I am when I read how much you are up to doing now Aria :hugs

And Ron you will laugh at our heat wave. It is supposed to approach 90. For you that’s a cool off!

Yes it is!

115F yesterday and 108F plus today. We cool down the the mid 80s to mid 90s next week.

The new mini split I installed is working well.
