Cats have totally different personalities...I believe...
they are NOT as interested in US as dogs are. Those I have met....prefer to be alone a lot. I prefer Dogs, Ducks, and Chickens. Aria
You should meet my cat, he sticks too me like glue, it's a real challenge trying too give both my cat dog equal attention at the same time. One on each leg and both hands rubbing their heads :th

Well that sucks. i hope the rest of the engine is OK.

I think cat communication is interesting. They talk to us in a totally different language than they do to other cats. In fact other than when one is mad at another, hissing at it for something it did, they mostly "converse" with body language, no vocalizations. Why is that??
And they only seem to vocalize at humans, not at each other. 😸

Yep they communicate. With each other and their servants being their humble human :)
Mine don't seem to mew or meow at each other. Just the occasional hiss. They did not grow up together, and keep their distance. Which is actually a blessing. The elder is FeLV positive.

Our two cats are siblings and do meow at each other.

They are a bit feral still though.

I just had too look this disease up. I'm so sorry. That must be really worrying for you. :(
Is there any medication for this at all?

My cat is a stray and I'm thinking he has a gum disease I'm trying to work out how to deal with it.

They can live a long time with it, apparently. She's over 10 years old but we don't really know how old. She was an adult when we got her. Mostly it's just a matter of taking good care of her. We recently started her on canned food, she was losing weight and condition, was griping a lot and had stopped hunting. She seems to be feeling better now. Have you had yours to the vet?
