They used to call them pineapple express storms. Warm tropical air mixes with cold arctic air brining a lot of moisture in a stream across the area. The claim is that some of these bands contain an amount of water equal to the Mississippi river.

Someone told me light red kidney beans have thinner skins than dark red, so I might try those. The texture of the skin is what he hates about the beans.
