Any Home Bakers Here?

Thanks for the explanation.

That really sounds dangerous.

I use pinto beans, light red kidney beans, pinto chili beans, and sometimes a can of black beans.
If a storm like the last one happened during December or January in a normal water year, we would have river flooding! With saturated soil, trees blow over too

Bakers good morning one and all!

Any one baking today?

Have a great day!
Texas Chili...little of a lot. Meat: you can use small pieces of sirilion, chuck, short ribs lean, or ground beef. Lots of spices: chili powder, paprika, cinnamon, cumin, hot pepper flakes, black pepper, little salt, garlic powder, onion powder, beef broth, l cup strong coffee, 3 T cocoa powder.
Brown one onion diced with a little oil of your choice, then the meat, add spices of your choice, quantity of choice, add beef broth your strong coffee, and cocoa powder. I cook mine in a Crock
Pot. TRUE TEXAS CHILI does not have beans. YOU always have choices....add what you like. Aria

Aria, I saved that recipe to try later this winter. I might have to make it and NOT tell Dh what's in it so that he doesn't automatically think "yuck" before he tastes it. Because, frankly, I wouldn't think to put coffee, cocoa, cinnamon, or cloves in chili! :) But it sounds interesting, and I'd like to try it.

I’m Southern. We put weird crap in errthang

My late MIL (here in MO) always added cinnamon to her beef stew. Just like your cocoa and coffee in your chili, you couldn't actually "taste" it, but it was an enhancing flavor. I will have to try your unusual ingredients in my next batch of chili and see what my family thinks! Thanks for the recipe.
