Any Home Bakers Here?

Off topic:

I did a science experiment to see how effective face masks are at blocking bacteria. I sneezed into a petri dish with a mask on, and sneezed into one without a mask on.

The results were interesting after a week.View attachment 2891137

This is a sneeze with a face mask on. Only one bacterial colony after 1 week of growth.

This is a sneeze without a mask on in the same amount of time. See all those tiny white dots? That’s bacteria.

Face masks may be annoying, and we may not like wearing them, but they sure do block bacteria and viruses well!
They may block bacteria but that is not proof that they block viruses.

Seriously?!?! I worked on this experiment for a few hours, I’ve waited A WHOLE WEEK for these results, I had something interesting and exciting, (at least to me,) that I wanted to share, and now you say this?

Why do you have to be so corrective?!?!

I’m leaving.

You made a false assumption. If you had not jumped to a false conclusion, I would not have said anything. I would have corrected anyone that made the same false assumption.

I did this experiment for fun, NOT to get information on whether it stops COVID or not. I wasn’t testing viruses, they are too small to see on Petri dishes anyway. I was testing to see how well masks stop respiratory droplets, which CAN carry bacteria and viruses. This experiment shows that masks can effectively stop respiratory droplets which can hold bacteria and viruses.

It was fun doing this experiment.

I did NOT make a false assumption, you did.

Anyway, it is official, I am leaving this thread for GOOD. I am going to find people that actually care about what I post and won’t get down on me.

Goodbye,

Jared Nicholes

Goodness.

Jared, people do care what you post. Don’t let one person having a moment turn you off of an otherwise great thread.

For what it’s worth, I thought that was an extremely interesting experiment, I just didn’t have the time to reply in the moment.

Okay made two kinds of cookies both in bar form.
Chocolate chip and peanut butter.
@jnicholes People can disagree can't they. What is one said I never do bar cookies ? I am being lazy today :celebrate
