Any Home Bakers Here?

Does anybody use that salt substitute in baking or cooking?
Salt can be added to almost everything after the fact with no issues. Breads/crusts, and gravy are two that needs salt while cooking.

No Salt (potassium chloride) is close to 1:1 as table salt. In my opinion it's easier to over season with it.

Guess we are lucky only one Mossyrock in the US or anywhere else ...
I guess nothing ever happens there since we all know that a rolling stone gathers no moss.

they apparently don't realize that Wyoming the state is not part of Michigan.
Or even CLOSE to Michigan!

anyone have some family favorites that they make out of leftover turkey?
My stepfather used to make turkey soup. It became edible when he quit smoking and cut the salt and pepper substantially.

Have not seen any communication from Debby?????? Is she not a member?
She better be, she started the thread :D

Hi everyone!

Have not been on for a little bit. Lots going on. Mostly Thanksgiving and Christmas preparations.

I spoke to my grandmother, and it looks like she is GIVING me a family heirloom when I get to North Idaho. Its my great grandfathers accordion! It’s got to be at least 60 years old. I’ll treasure it like the family treasure it is!

No, she’s not dying, but her health is deteriorating. She wants to give it to somebody who can use it. I possess a unique gift, and can play almost any musical instrument. I can play about eight different instruments. No joke.

I’ll get a picture of it when I get to North Idaho. I leave on Wednesday.

I will also get you guys pictures of Thanksgiving dinner.

By the way, here are two recipes I plan on using for Thanksgiving.

That is so cool. I'm glad you appreciate what it is.:thumbsup

I've known people who can pick up almost any instrument and learn to play it. That is truly a gift.

It’s been a while since I made rock candy!

Which I do not have! I'm sure Jared appreciates having that talent.
I don't have it either, and I bet Jared does.

My dad played Dixieland and some jazz on the piano. He could lead in a couple keys --C and G --, follow in F, but was lost in anything else. I never could play by ear the way he could.
