Sourdough!

I have a question for you all. My brother has kidney stones, and it’s very painful. Is there anything that I can make for him that will help with the stones?

About the only thing you can make him is an appointment with the doctor, in my experience. Bloody miserable.

A good friend of mine has TERRIBLE kidney stones. He tries to avoid foods with oxalic acids. Nuts, dark greens, and I'm not sure what else.

Someone suggested lemon juice in water, and I think sour cherry juice is suggested for kidney stones too.

I've also learned it's good to cut back on salt. I've always been somewhat cavalier about salt as I have low blood pressure, but now ... Definitely cutting back!

Good morning! Well, afternoon now.

I couldn't help myself. I had to taste the dulce de leche I made yesterday. I couldn't believe how good it was, so I had to check it again. I was sure my taste buds were lying, so I thought I'd better check it again. Then to apologize to my taste buds for not believing them, I gave them one last bit.

I had better forget that jar exists for a while.

No harvest on the elk hunt. Season ends tomorrow.

I’m not upset, at least I got to go hunting.
