Any Home Bakers Here?

Just a suggestion, y'all might want to stock up on some flours. Grain and corn prices are going to shoot up since Russia and Ukraine are big exporters of wheat and corn.

I have ordered 25lb rye, 25lb bread flour, 40lb all purpose flour, and 50lb sugar. I just need sugar :p

I'll keep the rye in the freezer until I need it. Same with the AP flour. I use bread flour pretty frequently, so I'm not worried about that going rancid.

Hmmm, I think you need to find out why the mold is growing and if there is some way to avoid that. I've had cheddars that were aged 2 years.

When you see the storage areas for cheeses they are kept in room with nothing else.

Do you have to have a special temperature for storage?

I didn't say I MADE 2 year old cheddar, we bought it at a store on the way out of Prince Edward Island. Good stuff.

Do y’all think feed prices will go up?
Feed prices haven't stopped going up since they announced Covid. The feed I use went from $12.49 for a 50 lb. sack to $18.99 for a 50 lb. sack. Lately it seems to be going up $0.50 every month.

My funny look we bird.
